A bit of a fashionista, she likes to dress up and almost always had outfits that are put together perfectly. When lounging at home, Maya likes to dress simply and can typically be found wearing jeans and a T-shirt.

Personality: Temper: Unfortunately, Maya inherited the famed temper of the Blackwood family. She's easily riled up and when provoked is not afraid to let a hex or two fly. Her temper is quick to ignite but also quick to cool. Unfortunately, she's also very prone to holding grudges, even towards her friends and extended family.
Bubbly: When she's not upset about something, Maya is bright, bubbly and optimistic. She loves practical jokes, and is labeled as a bit of a troublemaker. Almost always seen with a smile on her face, Maya is the one to keep the mood light and spirits up. She likes to make people laugh and hates to see anyone upset or sad.
Competitive: Perhaps it was the fact that she grew up with two older brothers and one older sister, or perhaps it's the fact that she's usually considered the 'baby' of the family; whatever the reason, Maya is extremely competitive. When Maya was eight, the Blackwoods moved to Denver, Colorado and her oldest brother, Luke, attended the North American Academy of Magic. Maya and James counted down the years until they too could attend, and the year that both her brothers left without her was the most difficult for her. When she was finally old enough to attend, Maya was sorted into Brookgill and quickly flourished in her new environment.
Making friends was easy for her and she soon made it her goal to make as many friends as possible from all of the houses.
