Lying on her back and staring at the ceiling, Maya sighed softly. No homework, well none that still needed to be done, no roommates in sight, probably in the library finishing homework, and nothing left to do. Sitting up suddenly, she slid off the bed, determined to find something to entertain herself with. Slipping out into the hall, she chose a random direction and started walking. If there was one thing that she absolutely hated, it was boredom. Her father had always said that an intelligent person was never bored, that there was always something to do.
Perhaps a trip to the library was in order? No, she'd spent the past few days there working on homework and it was time for a change of scenery. The grounds then? It was a beautiful, sunny day and there wasn't a cloud to be seen anywhere. Yes, the grounds seemed like an excellent option. Making her way outside, Maya reached an area of grass not far from the school but out of the way of any traffic and flopped onto the ground. Closing her eyes, she tilted her head up towards the warmth of the sun.

Vallen was out in the grounds looking up at the sun. He really needed time to relax. He couldn't spend his days in an office. He needed things to do, other than filing paper work and taking care of children that got in trouble, or situations that got out of control. At a school like this? Many things could go wrong in such a short period of time.
He saw a girl. What was she doing out here? Probably beating boredom no doubt. There wasn't any school today. He thought he should take the time to get to know his students, so he walked over and he lied down next to her in a way she wouldn't notice. "Fine day don't you agree Ms. Blackwood." he said. He knew many of his older students. He just happened to know her.
